WHATS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO YOU IN YOUR LIFE?

Family, holidays, good job, friends, money?

Everybody has a different answer to that question. But my question is "how are you going to enjoy any of the above if you don't have good health"?

We all take our health for granted until the day something goes wrong. It could be a gradual decline or you could wake up one morning in terrible pain.

Our bodies can only prop us up for so long if we are eating a poor diet, have long-term stress, smoke, drink alcohol and generally don't look after ourselves.

There is nothing wrong with eating occasional treats, after all we are only human, but in order to get away with that we should give our body what it needs in return and that is a good balanced diet.. Boring I know but that's what it needs to function at its best.

It's not too hard and you don't need to spend hours cooking fancy meals. Just think of a eating variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds in all the colours of the rainbow... that's a fantastic place to start. "VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE"

Don't eat the same 3 vegetables day in and day out, that's just not going to work.

Aim for at least 7 varieties each day and keep a food diary that will help you see how many you are actually getting in. Here is an idea of the most nutritious foods.

If you are having difficulty digesting foods or experiencing gas, bloating, diarrhoea etc then please contact a health professional to find out the cause.

Life is too short and you don't need to live it feeling unwell.
